With an illustrious career spanning over two decades across fashion capitals like Paris, New York, London, Milano, Dusseldorf, and Madrid, Anna Getaneh has left an indelible mark. She unveiled her passion through the creation of African Mosaique, an influential platform that shed light on African fashion and designers. Pioneering the inaugural pan-African fashion event during Paris Fashion Week in 1996, Anna recognized the dearth of African representation in the global fashion arena and resolved to transform this narrative. Drawing from her profound insights and industry acumen, Anna Getaneh returned to Ethiopia with a mission to cultivate the nation's burgeoning fashion industry. At the heart of her vision lies the establishment of a comprehensive design and manufacturing hub, fostering local talent and empowerment. This inclusive space not only nurtures an in-house collection but also opens doors for fellow designers, fostering collaboration and innovation. A testament to her commitment, Anna has channeled her expertise into the African Mosaique Incubator Program, offering free training and guidance to emerging designers. Beyond fashion, Anna Getaneh's compassion extends to the heart of rural Ethiopia through her role as the founder of ECF Children’s Fund (www.ethiopianchildrensfund.org).
